Origin & Quality
Our pesticide-free Guatemalan coffee is sourced from Finca La Hermosa, a certified organic, family-run farm on the slopes of the Acatenango volcano in Chimaltenango — one of only two Guatemalan regions with a protected denomination of origin for exceptional coffee. Founded in 2010 by fifth-generation farmer Max Pérez and his wife Claudia, the farm has grown from abandoned land into a cooperative supporting over 50 local farming families. This Strictly Hard Bean (SHB) coffee is grown in Acatenango’s mineral-rich volcanic soil, giving the cup its signature softness and sweetness.
Flavor Profile
Low in acidity with tasting notes of crisp apple, milk chocolate, and brown sugar, this Guatemalan coffee delivers a smooth, dessert-like sweetness — a gentler, easier-drinking cup than higher-acid Guatemalan coffees.
Our Roasting Philosophy
At Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters, we small-batch roast every origin in Greer, South Carolina, to preserve freshness and honor the character of each region. This Guatemalan coffee reflects our commitment to honest sourcing, intentional roasting, and giving back — one happy horse at a time.
