Discover the Bold Elegance of Sumatra Mandheling
Grown at elevations between 1,200–1,500 meters in the Aceh region of northern Sumatra, this Mandheling-style coffee reflects the depth and complexity the island is known for. Cultivated by smallholder farmers using traditional, sustainable methods, the beans are hand-picked, wet-hulled (“giling basah”), and sun-dried — a process unique to Sumatra that develops bold, earthy character and a smooth, syrupy body.
This roast features naturally low acidity and deep, grounding notes like raisin, dark chocolate, and cedar — a profile that evolves beautifully across roast levels. Whether you enjoy a lighter roast with fruitier tones or a darker, smokier brew, the notes shift to match your taste. (Flavor profiles available by roast selection.)
Dusty Rose roasts each small batch of Sumatra with precision to honor its origin while unlocking its richest tones. It’s a favorite for French press and cold brew fans but shines equally in a classic drip setup. Every cup is roasted with purpose — to support horse rescue, one bold brew at a time.
