This exceptional Colombian coffee comes from family-run farms in the heart of Colombia’s legendary Coffee Triangle (Eje Cafetero) — a UNESCO World Heritage region famous for producing some of the world’s finest Arabica beans. Grown at 1,300 meters above sea level, these beans benefit from rich volcanic soil, consistent rainfall, and the perfect balance of sun and shade that define Colombia’s ideal coffee-growing climate.
The term “Excelso” refers to a premium screen size classification in Colombian coffee, indicating larger, denser beans that develop more complex flavors during roasting. These cherries are hand-picked at peak ripeness by smallholder farmers who have been cultivating coffee for generations, using sustainable practices that respect both the land and the legacy of their craft.
After harvest, the beans are processed at small, family-operated wet mills where they’re carefully washed and fermented to remove the fruit, then sun-dried in solar dryers. This traditional method preserves the coffee’s natural sweetness and clarity while developing a clean, full-bodied cup with exceptional depth.
