Grown in the highlands of San Ignacio, in Peru’s remote Río Amojú region, this exceptional coffee comes from small, family-run farms nestled in one of the country’s most renowned coffee zones. These producers rely on traditional and sustainable practices to cultivate their crops — many of which are passed down through generations. This lot is certified organic at origin, meaning the coffee is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers and handled with deep care for both the environment and the final cup.

This lot comes from organically certified farms in the San Ignacio region, where farmers focus on sustainable growing methods and environmental stewardship. While we aren’t USDA-certified ourselves, we proudly source this coffee from producers who follow certified organic practices at origin.

At elevations reaching over 1,200 meters, the slower growth of these Strictly Hard Beans (SHB) allows for denser, more flavorful cherries. Once harvested, the coffee is fully washed and dried using solar drying techniques, protecting the beans while enhancing their clarity and sweetness.

In the cup, you’ll find a smooth, medium-bodied profile with inviting notes of red apple, milk chocolate, and brown sugar. With average acidity, above-average body, and a rounded sweetness, this roast offers a clean and comforting experience — approachable enough for daily brewing, yet rich enough to stand out on any table.

At Dusty Rose Coffee Roasters, we roast every origin in small batches to preserve freshness and respect the character of each region. This Peruvian coffee reflects our belief in honest sourcing, intentional roasting, and giving back — one happy horse at a time.

This coffee is available in Light, Medium-Light, Medium, Medium-Dark, and Dark roasts. Tasting notes vary by roast — please choose your preference from the drop-down menu.
